Lucy McGuire
From Malaysian cookery classes in Tanjong Jara, to a journalist cook-off in the Masterchef studios, Lucy is a writer by profession and foodie by heart.
Following a successful career as the ‘roving reporter’ with the Manchester Evening News, Yorkshire-born Lucy moved south to pursue her career as a freelance lifestyle writer.
Whether it’s street food from the sprawling markets of Kuala Lumpur or an assignment to sample the Michelin-starred dining of Provence, Lucy aims to take cooking inspiration from everything she eats.
Thai, Caribbean and Malaysian are among her favourite cuisines but she samples all sorts of London food trends for Belle About Town and can't get enough of the capital's street foods scene. When she’s not hanging out in her local foodie spot of Brixton village, she’s perfecting her Rendang curry at home or running to counteract her indulgence!
